Synopsis
Jim Watt runs the London office of a stock exchange firm and is hosting a dinner for the visiting International Director Bill McGregor and his wife, Nancy. Bill is a leading member of an anti-permissive society group and strongly disapproves of unmarried couples living together.
Desperate to keep hold of his job, Jim asks his girlfriend, Helen, to pose as his wife for the evening, but his suggestion goes down like a lead balloon and Helen walks out on him. After unsuccessfully ringing around all of his ex-girlfriends, Jim is left with one last person to turn to: his eccentric cleaning lady, Edna!
